I’ve spent the last hour and a half fantasizing about knifing one of my co-workers.

I could go on and on about her sins and transgressions, but long story short, she’s rude, inconsiderate, self absorbed, and she sucks at her job. I could ignore the first three if they didn’t impede on her ability to do her job, and I could ignore that last one if she didn’t actively make my job more difficult.

If I had to deal with her for more than one day a week, I would have to seriously consider quitting, contract be damned.

I don’t know which idea I find more disturbing… the idea that my contract ends Jan 6th and that they may not extend it and I’m then jobless, or the idea that they DO renew it, and I have to keep working here. Both make me feel vaguely nauseaous at this point.

On the other hand, we’ve started sequencing Manhattan air samples…

Of course, at this point I’d settle for a boring position at the Multipartner DNA Rendering Plant that wasn’t a contract position right now…

I’m not holding my breath though… They laid off at least two people in Administration today (including the Bitch who told me I wasn’t qualified for my job…), as well as getting rid of the security people.

Admittedly, I believe the latter is because they’re changing their security company…

But it’s still making me very nervous.
